Executive MBA Programs are typically between 12 to 36 months in duration where each program requires students to obtain 48 credits.

Unique Block System – All PECB Executive MBA Programs share the same modular structure; this allows students to easily transfer from one study program to another.

“BLOCK 1 – Business Management (3 credits each, except Capstone which is 6 credits)” refers to the group of courses known as Business Management. These are mandatory, semester-long, curricular business courses taught by PECB University faculty in an online or eLearning environment, and are applicable to all study programs.

For Block 1 and Block 4 courses, student will pay the fees directly to the PECB University.

“BLOCK 2 – Specializations (3 credits each)” refers to the group of courses known as Specializations. These are PECB Training courses, specific to each study program and are mandatory towards completing the requirements for degree conferral.

Students can save on Block 2 Specialization courses by completing them from SMATICA by any study mode (Live online / Self-study)

“BLOCK 3 – Specialization Electives (3 credits each) – students select four from the list” refers to the group of courses known as Electives. These are PECB Training courses, somewhat overlapping between the study programs, from which students choose any four courses, counting towards completing the requirements for degree conferral.

Students can save on Block 3 Specialization Electives courses by completing them from SMATICA by any study mode (Live online / Self-study)

“BLOCK 4 – Strategic Alignment (3 credits each, except Capstone which is 6 credits)” refers to the group of courses associated to Corporate Alignment. These are a combination of curricular courses and independent Capstone projects that are supervised by PECB University faculty, and are applicable to all study programs.

BLOCK 1 and BLOCK 4 are delivered from PECB University

BLOCK 2 and BLOCK 3 are delivered from SMATICA, PECB University Academic Partner

PECB University will invite the students to open an account on the website where electronic version of the training materials of the EMBA will be assigned including the syllabus.

In the first week of the Semester one the courses of BLOCK 1 and BLOCK 4 will be assigned to the students. If students need assistance with registration proceedings, they should contact the Academic Advisor or Customer Services. The semester at PECB University consists of fifteen (15) calendar weeks of instructional time, where week sixteen (16) is assigned for final examinations. Core courses and Capstone project will be delivered and organized in semester basis. Fall semester begins in first week of September and ends in December, whereas the Spring semester starts in first week of February and ends in May.

Live Session Classes – During the semester, each day the students will be invited for approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes interactive live sessions courses taught by professors.

Recorded Sessions – In addition to live session classes, students will also receive recorded sessions taught by professors through email.

Online Exam – The final exam of the course is 3 hours, open book, essay type, held online through PECB Exam application. PECB University will also send the preparation guide to the students one week prior to the exam date.

Specialization and Elective Training Courses

Specialization courses are pre-selected training courses that students will be taking through SMATICA Academic Partner.

Elective courses have to be selected from students from the list of Elective training courses and Academic Partner have to organize the training. The Academic Partner shall ensure that elective courses are delivered on time, during respective semester timeframe

Specialization and Elective courses, are delivered intensively from the Academic Partner, during the work week, during weekends or as decided between the student and the Academic Partner.

Training Material -The training material is assigned in KATE online platform to the students from the Academic Partner through PECB reseller platform, before the training starts.

KATE is an application that allows students to access PECB course materials of all four blocks. It requires to login with PECB account. Additionally, students can also send comments/feedback on course material and make personal notes.

Online Exam – Online exams are to be scheduled from students on PECB website, through their account. The instructions on how to schedule the exam are sent automatically from the website after students completes the training and the Academic Partner marks the event as completed. The help center of PECB also provides the instructions and guidance on how to schedule online exams.

Paper based Exam The Academic Partner is responsible to organize the paper based exams through invigilator based on instructions provided acting as PECB Reseller.

Attestation of Course Completion – The students will receive the Attestation of Course Completion for attending the training. It can be obtained automatically from the website after the candidate completes the respective course evaluation form through his/her dashboard under ‘My Courses’.

Note that Attendance Record is not transferable towards University Credits but it is required as proof of attending the training course.

PECB Professional Certificate – Students that successfully pass the exam, based on their experience, will receive the PECB Professional Certificate, which is transferable toward PECB University credits. Students are required to inform the University after receiving the Professional PECB Certificate.

Self-Study – Self-study for Specialization and Elective courses is acceptable from PECB University, however students need to satisfy the credit hours required for credit transfers.

Maximum number of self-study courses taken from a student is two (2).

Logistics As stated in the Reseller Agreement and the Addendum for PECB Academic Partner Program, the Academic Partner is responsible for all necessary logistics required when organizing PECB training courses that will allow students to complete the study program for BLOCK 2 & BLOCK 3.

Failing to deliver Courses – If the Academic Partner for any reason is not able to provide the required Specialization or Elective courses to the students within required Semester duration, the Academic Partner shall inform on time PECB University, as stated in the Addendum for PECB Academic Partner Program and not invoice the student for that particular Course.

Credit Transfer

PECB Professional Certificates are accepted at PECB University as credits towards specific MBA program. Besides providing the PECB Professional Certificate, the prerequisite for unconditionally transferring credits at PECB University is by providing the Attestation of Course Completion. If no Attestation of Course Completion could be provided, students need to take additional exercises as required by PECB University Credit Transfer Policy for their transfer requests to be completed.

Graduation of Students

Students must achieve the following set of requirements in order to graduate:

  1. Course credits and workload
  2. Satisfactory coursework
  3. Core courses
  4. Minimum Grade Point Average (GPA)
  5. Tuition and fees payment

Students will apply for graduation through by completing graduation form provided from University.

Acceptance of Students into PECB University Executive MBA Program

The student application process is handled from PECB University based on set of criteria for enrollment.

PECB University on each semester will inform the students through email about the study plan and the courses covered during the blocks.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

PECB University seeks to enroll students who, through academic track or significant professionalism demonstrated through experience, will be able to successfully meet the requirements of our study programs.
Even though each application is considered and analyzed individually, in general, candidates can be eligible to enroll at PECB University through one of the following pathways:

Pathway 1

Pathway 1 is intended for candidates who seek to fulfill the enrollment criteria based on their previous education.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution 
  • Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or above*
  • At least two years of relevant professional experience. For candidates with no prior professional experience, a GMAT score of above 620 is required.
  • English proficiency as demonstrated through TOEFL iBT or IELTS scores (for non-native English speakers), if applicable
  1. The minimum required score for TOEFL iBT is 75, while for IELTS 6.5.  
  2. Non-native English speakers who have completed previous studies in English, and can evidence that through a written confirmation, may be exempt from this requirement.

*For applicants with a GPA of less than 3.0, evidence of sufficient professional development through the years should be provided. Evidence may include, but is not limited to, constant involvement in trainings, certifications, exam results, etc.

Pathway 2 

Pathway 2 is intended for candidates who seek to fulfill the enrollment criteria based on their proven track of relevant professional experience, training, and certification in their field of interest.

  • Professional designation in the relevant field of interest (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Implementer or Auditor, ISO 9001 Quality Management Implementer or Auditor). Each case will be considered and evaluated individually, with direct support from the Student Affairs Office.
  • At least six years of work experience at a managerial level in the relevant field of interest
  • English proficiency as demonstrated through TOEFL iBT or IELTS scores (for non-native English speakers), if applicable
  1. The minimum required score for TOEFL iBT is 75, while for IELTS 6.5.  
  2. Non-native English speakers whose work experience is in an institution where English is the official language,    and can evidence that through an employment letter or confirmation, may be exempt from this requirement.

Pathway 3 

Pathway 3 is intended for candidates who seek to fulfill the enrollment criteria based on their proven track of relevant professional experience.

  • At least eight years of relevant professional experience, at a managerial level in the relevant field of interest
  • GMAT score of above 620 or GRE equivalent is required.
  • At least two years of relevant professional experience. For candidates with no prior professional experience, a GMAT score of above 620 is required.

– GMAT/GRE is waived if the candidate has 10+ years of relevant professional experience.

  • English proficiency as demonstrated through TOEFL iBT or IELTS scores (for non-native English speakers), if applicable 

– The minimum required score for TOEFL iBT is 75, while for IELTS 6.5. 

– Non-native English speakers whose work experience is in an institution where English is the official language, and can evidence that through an employment letter or confirmation, may be exempt from this requirement.
